After breakfast, begin your day with a tour of Amman, historically known as Rabbath Ammon and Philadelphia in Biblical times. Explore the impressive Roman Theatre, visit the Archaeological Museum, and wander the Citadel, home to the remains of the massive Temple of Hercules. Next, travel to Jerash, often called the “Pompeii of the East,” renowned as one of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities. Stroll along its grand colonnaded main street, the Cardo, and marvel at iconic sites including the South Theatre, Temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, Artemis Temple, and the Nymphaeum.
